Death To False Classic Rock...

This is a mix tape that my friend jimmy made for me a long time ago. i had briefly mentioned it in a previous post but this mix was particularity one i didn't want to stop listening to. i think that all the songs on this is a great introduction to classic rock for anyone. Side A was labeled "play loud..." and side B was labeled "or don't". jimmy gave this tape to me as a going away gift over 5 years ago. its been in 12 different stats and i think it fell out of my car somewhere in California.

i just recently came across the case and read the tracks and remembered how good it was. i had to remake this mix and i found all the songs but one which was an oldie but a goodie, "ill never forget" by the candymen. great song, classic 50s/60s (i think) rock ballad. the only place i could find it was for sale on ebay for a lot of money. the rest of the songs are quite enjoyable and should be able to download here. if here are any problems let me know.

Mixin it up

Here it is KidZ the last mix of the year!
Be prepared... it will psych your mind!! this mix is one mix that i have been listening to for the past week and cant get enough of it. Pink Floyd - the nile song on this mix i just recently heard and i love love love it. Its not like any other pink floyd that I've ever heard. the track is on the "MORE" motion picture soundtrack that they wrote the music for in the 70's. the vocals are raspy and deep, the guitars sound like they are shredding the bowels of hell. basically its like what new stoner metal sounds like. its fucking killer! Also some old Hendrix, blue cheer, and more for your listening pleasure.

SIDE A JUST A
1. Just a little - Beau Brummels
2. Sun cycle - Blue Cheer
3. Suzie sunshine - Buffalo
4. Jimi Hendrix
5. King Crimson
6. Mount everest - November
7. Relentless - Pentagram
8. the Nile song - Pink Floyd
9. Electro rock - Simply Saucer
10. Wasted time - Stark Naked
11. Eight miles high - The Byrds

A monthly online mix tape....

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I have no idea how to upload music for you all to download, so here is an alternative way to sample some of the tunes that i am currently rocking. i should get paid to promote this site. fuck it I'm stoked!!box.com

A few days ago i was thinking about how rad it was to get a mix tape from a friend or make one for them. my friend jimmy made the BEST! mix tapes ever! for me they were the gateways into the music world that i was not a part of. each mix was so different and creative and supplied a soundtrack to my younger years. from metal/power violence to idny/punk to easy going classic rock they were loved equally the same. I lost a few over the years and wished that i was a little more careful with my things but the ones i still have i listened to so much i don't know how they even play. in conclusion to my ramble, this cyber world in which we live is making the art of the mix tape nonexistent and it totally sucks. we can either bring them back or do the internet thing. which in this case i went the web route. OCT.MIX UP NOW!:)

Vanilla Fudge

Ok, so i just got back Tuesday from a six day trip to Seattle for a Sarah's sisters wedding and man was it a blast. On the way north i stopped in yreaka ca. this town is smaller than small. the thrift stores were too. I don't have much luck with finding records that i want and when i do they are totally thrashed. I came across a few gems ...Vanilla Fudge vanilla fudge Renaissance was one of em. they do a really RAD version of Donovan's "season of the witch" The guitar slays my thoughts leaving them to then be melted by the distant rippling vocals and various sound scape. listening to this album makes me feel like i took a hit of LSD. If you've heard this one before you know what i mean. one of my personal favorites.

THIRD MOVEMENT
"Consciousness expansion a reprimand
where is the consciousness to expand
to say and do both is a difficult game
where is the one who's both are the same
Looks aren't deceiving when vibrations are seen
But looks are just looking through the translucent screen..."

SIDE 1
1. the sky cried-when i was a boy
2. thoughts
3. paradise
4. that's what makes a man
SIDE 2
1. the spell that comes after
2. faceless people
3. season of the witch
